About Dogeared
Some brands sell jewelry. We sell jewelry that is sometimes meant to break.
It started in 1991 on my mom's kitchen table in California. A simple idea: that a tiny piece of jewelry could hold something you actually believed in. A wish. An intention. A quiet little hope you weren't ready to say out loud yet.
Dogeared — like the corner of a page you fold down because you want to come back to it. Because some things are worth returning to.
Those first pieces sold at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Then across California. Then everywhere. For over thirty years, people made wishes on silk cords and waited to see what happened. A lot of those wishes came true.
(We have the stories to prove it.)
Now I'm running it. Same belief system, new chapter. I grew up in this world and I'm rebuilding it with the same thing it was built on: the idea that what you put out into the universe has a way of finding its way back.
We're a wishing brand. We believe in 11:11, in signs, in the kind of morning where everything just feels aligned. We believe meaning isn't assigned — it's chosen. And we believe a piece of jewelry can hold all of that, quietly, on your neck or your wrist, every single day.
We're also one of the first jewelry companies to become a certified B Corporation. Because doing good was always part of the original wish.
Make a wish. We'll be here.
