One Voice is an outstanding non-profit organization dedicated to directly affecting and changing the lives of people in need. They have various programs devoted to helping families living at the poverty level within the Los Angeles community. Their amazing efforts include a scholars program, which sends inner city youth to some of the best colleges in the country, as well as family assistance and holiday programs that draw a remarkable 2,000 volunteers each year!
Dogeared is very passionate about One Voice’s incredible efforts, and we have worked closely with them ever since Dogeared was founded in 1991. Each year, Dogeared designs a special necklace for One Voice and donates 100% of the profits from these limited edition jewels to this wonderful organization.
Over two nights, Marcia and Merlin participate in and recruit others to participate in a huge event to pack food in the Santa Monica Barkar airport hangar. They donate our reusable canvas bags on the third night, they follow the trucks that are loaded with all the food to the different giveaway sites to unload the food. Merlin dresses up as Santa. They’ve been doing this for over 25 years.
One Voice comes back to visit us after the events and share with us how the Dogeared contribution helps their org. This year they were able to continue funding the summer camp program with the funds raised through the sale of the Limited Edition Necklace!
